The Sailaway Dress is a romantic, drop-waist dress with two bodice views: a halter neckline or a high round neckline. Both views feature an open back with a keyhole detail and elasticated ties for adjustable comfort and fit! The fully lined bodice includes princess seams, paired with an A-line gathered skirt and can be sewn in two lengths : mini and midi. Ideal for light, woven fabrics, the Sailaway is a breezy, customizable piece for confident beginner to intermediate sewists. A staple that’ll sail through your summer wardrobe!

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS:
The Sailaway dress is designed to work with light to medium weight woven fabrics like rayon and viscose (crepe, voile, poplin, twill, challis), cotton (lawn, voile, poplin, crinkle cotton, shirting), linen (washed linen, linen noil) and tencel twill. The choice of fabric will impact the final look of the dress: fabrics like rayon will look more fluid and have more drape and fabrics like cotton will give more structure and volume.
