What is a pdf pattern?

PDF patterns are digital versions of printed patterns, broken down into A4/letter pages. You print the pages at home (or at the copyshop) and tape them together to create the pattern template sheet. A detailed instructions booklet is also included in a separate PDF file. The main selling point of PDF patterns are their accessibility: you can buy, print and sew a pattern all in one day!

How will I receive my pattern?

Our sewing patterns are digital only- You will receive the file containing the pattern and instructions via e-mail.

How do I print my pdf pattern?

If you print at home, open the pattern file with Adobe Acrobat Reader (you can download it for free on Internet). In the file drop down menu, click on Print. Once you are in the printing window, make sure the scaling option is off. Print the first page of the document and measure the test square to verify that the dimensions are correct. If the dimensions of the test square are exact, print the rest of the pattern.

How do I print my size?

Our patterns have layers, which means you can choose the size(s) you want to print. Once in Adobe Acrobat Reader, there is a panel of options on the left-hand side: if you click the layer icon, you should be able to see all layers. Click off the eye icon of the layers you want to hide and keep the eye icon on for the size(s) you want to print. Make sure the text layer stays on!

What height do you draft for?

We draft our patterns for a 5’6’’ (167.5 cm) person.

What cup size do you draft for?

We draft our patterns for a US size 12 person with a C cup- then grade up and down accordingly to our size chart. However, do not let the cup size distract you too much, please refer to our body measurements and finished measurements charts to pick a size.

I purchased a pdf pattern but didn’t receive an e-mail to download the files. Where can I access the files?

After buying a pattern on our website, you will receive 2 e-mails: the first one is the order confirmation, which contains your order summary and bill. The second one contains the link to download the file- it might arrive in your inbox a few minutes later. Make sure to check your spam box just in case and if you still can’t find it, e-mail us at hello@lesperlines.com .

I clicked on the download link and it said ‘‘dowloadable content not found’’ what does this mean?

No worries! It just means that your download link has expired. Shoot us an e-mail (hello@lesperlines.com) with your name and order # and we will send you a new link!

Can I sell clothing made from your patterns?

No. Our PDF patterns are for personal use only. Any use or distribution, even partial, is strictly prohibited, as well as the sale of any garment produced from our patterns.
